Qigong (pronounced "chee-gong") is an ancient Chinese practice that combines physical movements, controlled breathing, and meditation to cultivate and balance the body's vital energy, known as "qi" (or "chi").
Rooted in traditional Chinese medicine, martial arts, spiritual practice and philosophy, Qigong has been practiced for thousands of years to strengthen the body, enhance health, healing, and spiritual development.

Spiritual Doctor of the Heart
For over 40 years, Akah Jackson has explored consciousness, Qi Gong, and healing arts. Known as a fifth-generation "plant and spirit man," Akah’s journey began in New Jersey, where early life challenges sparked his search for deeper meaning.
He begun learning Qi Gong practice at age 19 and then met his teacher his first teacher Lela Pavadan in 1995, a Medical Qi Gong expert from India.
He later trained with Matthew Jones, senior student of Dr. Jerry Alan Johnson, who was one of the first doctors to bring medical qi gong to the United States at Five Branches institute in Northern California.
Akah has also dedicated three decades to the "red road," learning inter-tribal healing practices under Turtle Hawk. With a background in depth psychology, Akah is a Kundalini yoga and meditation teacher, and he has served as a spiritual counselor at Passages Treatment Center in Malibu.
As one half of the musical duo Aykanna, Akah, along with his wife Pauline, channels healing energy through music. They live in Costa Rica with their daughter, Sahej.
